As I get closer in time to my stem cell transplant, many people have asked what they can do to help. Luckily, I am going into this treatment in excellent health, in good financial condition, with a great medical team, and with a supportive work environment. Your support has been pivotal.
But, here is what I would like to ask of you:
As many of you know, my grandmother, Nana Pat, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma last year, and passed away shortly after. Six months later, I was diagnosed with the same cancer. This disease has had a terrible impact on me, and my family. Fortunately, new treatments that have been developed as a result of the research sponsored by the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. These treatments have been critical to saving many, including myself.
Please, I would like to ask you to help us by participating with DaShawn and I in the 2007 Race for Research in South Boston on Saturday, May 12. The money we raise could help benefit the over 11,000 new people diagnosed each year.

I'm not sure that I will be walking myself; around that time, I will be recovering from the transplant. But I am damn sure planning on trying - If the Doctors don't put a leash on me.
If you are not able to walk with the team, you can still donate on this page
