I am running in the Houston Half Marathon on January 13, 2008. As my tagline states, I do not want to run aimlessly, and the folks that put on the Houston Marathon have made it very easy for runners to “Run for a Reason.” There are 17,000 runners participating this year, and the event sponsors realize that events such as these are a great way to raise money and awareness for several Charities in our community. After reading over the many charities, I chose to support Bo’s Place. Bo’s Place offers support to children who’ve lost a parent or sibling, and it is the only Free-of-Charge grief center for children in Houston. I’ve set a modest goal to raise $1000.00 for Bo’s place. To all of you who have already donated to the cause – a huge and heartfelt “THANK YOU!!!” If you wish to donate at this time, simply click on the appropriate amount in the box above.
