Fishing for a Cure's Fundraising Page
In loving memory of George S. Rudeen

Thank you for visiting my fundraising web site!

This year’s event will be in honor my dad, George Rudeen, who lost his six year battle with Multiple Myeloma in June 2005. Finding a cure for Multiple Myeloma was very important for my father throughout his battle and that is why I will continue to raise money for the MMRF.

A little something about this year's team name - Fishing For A Cure. One of my dad's favorite pastimes was fishing. So I thought, what better way to incorporate one of his loves into this year's event!

The MMRF continues to raise the bar for cancer research which has resulted in significant advances in myeloma therapies. This includes pivotal research that contributed to the recent approval Velcade, the first myeloma drug in more than a decade. Currently, the MMRF is funding 20 new therapies now in clinical trials. The MMRF also provides information to patients and family members including facts about myeloma, treatment options, and advances in myeloma research that are critical when faced with multiple myeloma.

Your tax-deductible contribution to the MMRF, regardless of size, will bring us one step closer to finding a cure. Every dollar counts!

Thank you so much for your generous contribution and support.
