UPDATE!!! Jun 6- Cane Creek Cycling Components agrees to contribute $250 to the Catamounts Against Cancer! We are on our way to being successful, but we still need your help. Make a donation today and spread the word to friends, family, and coworkers.
Welcome and thank you for taking time to learn more about Catamounts Against Cancer. This is your chance to provide the support that is so greatly needed in the fight to irradicate cancer. Catamounts Against Cancer is a group of people with ties to Western Carolina University. C.A.C will be participating in a one of a kind nationally known event called the 24 Hours of Booty.
This charity ride is known nation wide for being the only 24 Hour Charity Cycling Event in the country. The 24 Hours of Booty supports non-profit organizations targeting the treatment, recovery, and survival of cancer. These organizations include The Lance Armstrong Foundation, The Brain Tumor Fund of the Carolinas, and the Keep Pounding Fund which all work together in the fight to irradicate Cancer. We ask that you support our team by making a generous contribution to this event, and more importantly this cause that effects us all. Cancer is something that every person has delt with. This is your chance to make a difference. Our challenge will be to ride as many miles as possible in the 24 hours. Your challenge is much greater. Your challenge is to help us reach the goal of Three Thousand dollars by making a contribution. All money donated goes directly to the foundations listed above and will help in supporting reasearch, education, advocation, and treatment of cancer. You are urged to make the largest contribution possible but any contribution is greatly appreciated.

Fall 2005
Catamounts Against Cancer was started by a group of students looking for a way to get something more out of riding bikes. By participating in this event it gives us something to ride for. Its something we can do for all of our and your loved ones that have been effected by this terrible disease. While the group was started by students, it is not by any means limited to students. Employees of Western Carolina University, and the Jackson County Cycling community also make up our group. All working together to reach a common goal and use the sport of cycling as a spring board to a cure for cancer.
We ask that all of you take the time to make a contribution. Money is crucial and something that anybody can help with. Once you've made your contribution we'd like to see you do one more thing for us. Spread the word about our group. Send emails to your friends, families, and co-workers asking them to make a contribution of their own, or better yet, match yours. Challenge everybody you know to make a difference. 24 Hours of Booty has raised over 1 Million dollars for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF). You may have already helped the LAF by purchasing and wearing one of the 60 million yellow wrist bands that have been sold all over the world. This is your chance to strengthen your support. Money will also contribute to North Carolina charities such as the Brain Tumor Fund of the Carolinas and the Keep Pounding Fund. Both of these benefit yourself, your friends, family, and neighbors in the state of North Carolina.
