| Through your fundraising efforts, all funds will be used to support Children’s Cancer Research Fund and it's focused goal to eradicate childhood cancer. Make your event extra special by racing in support of pediatric cancer treatment and research at the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota, a member of the Children's Oncology Group.
All proceeds from your fundraising efforts will support Children’s Cancer Research Fund's innovative childhood cancer research programs.
Children’s Cancer Research Fund supports the pioneering efforts in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of childhood cancers at the University of Minnesota, a leader in pediatric cancer research. Many discoveries funded by Children’s Cancer Research Fund have revolutionized the way childhood cancer is treated worldwide.
Children’s Cancer Research Fund invests in the research areas that will make the most impact in the field of pediatric cancer treatment. Projects we fund demonstrate:
Leadership — Our groundbreaking umbilical cord stem cell research has transformed and improved treatment for childhood and adult leukemia.
Faster Cures — Funding from Children’s Cancer Research Fund allowed researchers and physicians to pursue a new approach to treating brain cancer. In just over 10 months, they developed and manufactured a brain tumor vaccine that is currently in clinical trials.
Results — Funding for leading-edge research provides preliminary data required to secure larger national grants. As a result, every dollar of support has the potential to generate fifteen to twenty times the level of national grant funding – and launches promising new treatment options.
