I was diagnosed with Type I diabetes in September, 1972. When I was in the hospital ward one of the doctors told my Mom - "Don't worry, they're working on a cure for diabetes right now". In the 34 years since then I've been injecting insulin and pricking my fingers to test my blood glucose levels. Ouch! And in all that time, I've never had a reason to hope for a cure. But now, due to the work of Dr. Denise Faustman I believe a cure for Type 1 diabetes can happen in my lifetime.
On September 10th I rode 20 miles to directly support Dr. Faustman's research. By raising $7,500, I know that my team (including you) can speed up this very important work. You can still sponsor my bike ride and support me in my efforts - every $50 is a big step towards my personal goal. Your contributions are fully tax deductible. Any questions?
