This September I will have had Type 1 Diabetes for 35 years.
And I've been taking insulin and testing my blood sugar ever since. For most of that time,
I never expected to see any cure for Type 1 Diabetes. I was going to inject insulin
for the rest of my life.
But then I heard about the exciting research that Dr. Denise Faustman had been doing at Massachusetts
General Hospital. She was able to cure Type 1 diabetes in mice, and now the team is working hard to make this work for everyone with Type 1. Last year I was able to raise $7,500 that went directly to this research. And this year, I'm hoping to raise $10,000.
It's a lot of money, and I can only do this with your help.
That's a lot of $50 contributions for my ride. And you don't have to sponsor me for that much — even $15 brings me one step closer to my goal.
Every dollar of your sponsorship will go directly
to the research. And it's all tax
deductible.
