Bikers, Harley-Davidson Dealer in Washington City, Utah Push Pet Adoption Event.
Motorcycle enthusiasts from four states will team with Zion Harley-Davidson in Washington City, Utah on Saturday, Sept. 22 in the Second Annual “Bikers for Best Friends” Pet Adoption Event. The event, which will also take place in Colorado, New York and Arizona, consists of a fund raising ride that begins at the dealership, where various local rescue groups and shelters will make dogs and cats available for adoption.
Proceeds from the fund raising event will go to local participating rescue groups and shelters. Bikers are encouraged to create their own online pledge page in order to encourage sponsor donations from family and friends. The participant who raises the most in donations will win a year’s worth of Natural Balance dog or cat food.
Participants can pre-register here and pay the $30 registration fee online; everyone registered by Sept. 15 will receive a free event T-shirt.
The ride will include a “poker run” where at each of five stops along the way, riders will draw a card. Once they have a complete poker hand of five cards, the best hand will win a prize. On-site registration will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. The adoption event will take place 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will also include lunch for the participants at Best Friends Animal Society 12-2pm, as well as entertainment at each of the Harley-Davidson dealers. It will be the second Best Friends event in Utah.
