Nels Matson and Nick Busta will be bicycling over 3,800 miles from San Francisco to New York City in 46 days for The Children's Heart Foundation to raise much needed funds for congenital heart defect (CHD) research.
Last year while cycling through tough days, Nels stayed encouraged because of the names on his bike. Children with CHD and parents who had lost a child to CHD signed Nels' bike. This helped him stay encouraged about the task at hand. This year Nels would like to involve those with a CHD even if they can't make it to physically sign the bike.
This is how it works:
Start a fundraising page for a child or adult living or that lived with a Congenital Heart Defect and raise at least $100. Nick or Nels will then place the child or adult's name on their bike. That name will travel from sea to sea to raise funds for Congenital Heart Defect research!
There are 50 names available per bike!
The link to start your page is to the right below the "Top Fundraisers" box.
If you would like to donate $100 to have a loved one affected by CHD on the bike, there is no need to start a fundraising page. Simply donate below and e-mail Nels the name you wish to have placed on the bike.
If you have any questions contact Rosemary Wheeler by e-mail at rwheeler@childrensheartfoundation.org
or by phone at 847-634-6474. After you have reached $100 please e-mail Nels the name you would like on the bike and your fundraising page link. Thank you so much! |
