| The Big Climb is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s most challenging event. Last March, over 2,200 people climbed the stairs at the Columbia Center (formerly the Bank of America Tower) in downtown Seattle, the state’s tallest skyscraper, and raised over $240,000. The 69-flight course includes 1,311 steps, 19 steps per flight and 788 feet of vertical elevation. Participants have the choice of either running the stairs and being timed or climbing the stairs at their own pace. This year we are celebrating the Big Climb’s 20th anniversary!
In addition to a challenging workout, the Big Climb gives participants the opportunity to fight leukemia. Leukemia, a cancer of the body’s blood-forming organs, is the leading disease killer of children; yet for every child diagnosed, ten adults face this disease. Thanks to research supported by contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, survival rates in both adult and childhood leukemia have dramatically improved. |

| All funds raised will support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission: cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. |
