| Centers for Disease Control estimates that at least 2% of the US population is currently living with
a long term or life long need for help as a result of a traumatic brain injury. Based on the 2009 estimated census data, this is approximately 56,000 Utahans. Only by raising public awareness of the "silent epidemic" of brain injury will we begin to see a decrease in the alarming numbers of injuries Utahans sustained every year. |
