Poundhounds is an all-breed dog rescue organization. For many towns, animal control is way down the list of priorities. PoundHounds offers programs dedicated to helping Animal Control Officers (ACOs) improve the standard of medical care and the visibility for dogs in municipal pounds and shelters in order to increase their chances for adoption. PoundHounds is often the only animal welfare group that ACOs can turn to for financial help for abused and abandoned dogs in town pounds. We also provide Kuranda beds and leashes and collars generously donated by you through our Leashes by the Pound program.
