| A Reason To Survive (ARTS) |
|
| A Reason To Survive (ARTS) is a San Diego-based non-profit organization dedicated to healing, inspiring and empowering children facing life challenges through free art-based programs, education, and opportunities. Based upon the belief that the arts can heal, inspire, and empower, ARTS serves thousands of kids annually at the Pat D'Arrigo ARTS Center in Point Loma. This 7,000 square feet of creative space includes a visual and ceramic arts studio, dance studio, music room, digital media room, and children’s art gallery. In addition, ARTS provides outreach programs to children at partner sites such as hospitals, residential treatment facilities, shelters, rehabilitation centers, community groups, schools, and more. ARTS seeks to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where kids are able to explore the visual, performing, musical, and literary arts under the guidance of positive adult mentors and artists. It is through the arts that we provide an opportunity for not only creative expression but also healing, self-discovery, and empowerment to children facing adversity. The programs and services are FREE to children who qualify. There is no charge to a child, family, partner site or service provider. All of the money raised during this event will go directly to art programs for children facing life challenges. |
