The First Tee of Arlington is one of 204 Chapters internationally. Each First Tee program is a seperate entity that is a 501c non-profit organization. Arlington Golf has partnered with the First Tee of Arlington for the past 5 years to promote the game of golf and its values to our Arlington youth. The First Tee of Arlington is located at our Meadowbrook Park Golf Course in east Arlington. Arlington Golf is seeking donations through our golf community as part of our 2010 Keep a Kid on Course fundraising campaign to benefit the First Tee of Arlington. Your monetary gift will go to provide funding to their after school programs in low income areas, provide rental fee of our facility to have our classes, and grow our program for the future for each existing participants as well as new ones. All donation's made before August 24th, will be matched by 20% through Colonial Country Club through the Birdies for Charity drive.
The First Tee of Arlington's partnerships include Colin Powell's America's Promise Alliance to promote change in our community for youths, Michelle Obama's Lets Move initiative to fight childhood obesity, and Arlington Police's Weed and Seed program to keep kids off of drugs and in school. The First Tee of Arlington also works with the drop out prevention coalition and gang prevention team in Arlington.
