Arizona Alport Syndrome 5K for Healthy Kidneys 2010
Conquering Alport Syndrome One Step at a Time
The Alport Syndrome Foundation is a volunteer-led organization formed by families affected by this genetic kidney disease. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit Foundation that gives a voice to all those affected by Alport Syndrome and champions fundraising and research to find a cure. The majority of those affected by Alport Syndrome are boys who require dialysis or a kidney transplant by their early 20s. Proceeds from fundraising will be used to support conferences to raise awareness, and to support a symposium for researchers, physicians, and families at the 2010 International Pediatric Nephrology Association Congress in New York City. To get more information click on Home Page above to view our website (www.alportsyndrome.org). To support our efforts you can click on one of the options above (1) REGISTER for the 5K Run/Walk on March 28, 2010 at 8:00 AM at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, AZ; (2) BECOME A FUNDRAISER and get others to sponsor you; or (3) SPONSOR A FUNDRAISER by selecting their webpage. There will be prizes for the top three fundraisers, racers, and participants receive a comemorative t-shirt, post-race refreshments, entertainment, and the chance to win great door prizes (must be present to win). We greatly appreciate your support and thank you for your generosity!
