| Please join us at the 2008 AIDS Walk benefiting the AIDS Foundation of Western Massachusetts. 100% of the money raised by walkers goes directly to assist individuals living with HIV/AIDS right here in Hampden and Hampshire counties.
Please consider providing hope and assistance by pledging to be a Walker/Fundraiser. In addition to Walkers, we are looking for TEAM CAPTAINS to create fundraising TEAMS. This allows us to reach out to more people and encourage them to get involved as well. The more people, the more compassion, education, and support we can give. If you are unable to walk in event, please know that you can still create a web-page and fundraise for the AIDS Foundation

Once you have created your own Fundraising Web-Page, be sure to email all your friends, family, and co-workers your Web-Page Address and ask them to join your team, start their own team, or donate money to support you!”
They can donate right there on your Web-Page. You will be able to post you’re personal fundraising goal, upload a picture for your page, write a message to encourage people to donate to you, and you can also pick a clever team name, all on your Web-Page.
When emailing your friends your Web-Page Address, remember to tell them who you are walking for or why this cause is important to you.

Please click on BECOME A FUNDRAISER up top. From there you can select if you want to 'Fundraise as an Individual' or if you want to be a Team Captain and 'Create A Fundraising Team', or if you want to 'Join A Fundraising Team'.
You will be asked to create a user name and password on Active (if you don't already have one). This is a simple process which only takes a minute or so. Then just follow a few easy steps and you will have your very own webpage to collect donations through!
Teams can consist of friends, families, schools, clubs, colleges/universities, running clubs, walking groups, churches, media groups, youth groups, businesses, or just anyone you want.”
The 2008 AIDS Walk will be held in Forest Park on September 20th. Following the Walk, will be an extravagant festival with exciting activities and entertainment. It is anticipated to be a record-breaking year with over a thousand walkers! The AIDS Foundation is extremely excited about the possibilities that this year’s Walk presents.
