Hello Friends of “Swim to Chicago”
Thank you for visiting my personal fund raising site for the “Swim to Chicago”. Though it may be my fund raising site the funds however do not go to me. I am swimming for ActiveWater. ActiveWater is a 501c3 organization that I co-founded with a good friend of mine (Amie Hadaway) 2 years ago. I am super passionate about long distance challenges and feel that if I am going ask others to use their gifts, passions, and abilities to address the World Water Crisis that I should lead by example.
The “Swim to Chicago” is a 42.1 mile swim from Grand Beach, MI to the Navy Pier in Chicago. The Swim is will take an estimated 30 hours to complete and will take place on August 6th, 2011. My goal is to raise enough money to fund 2 wells in Zambia Africa. The average cost of a well in Africa is $4,500. Please consider helping me reach my goal prior to the start of swim!
