For the 7+ years I've been in ministry I've been looking for a way to be involved in some kind of work or ministry outside of "my job". If you're in ministry, you know that so often your job can become less of a ministry and more of a job. One way that I have found to stay fresh and keep my focus right in my work is to find a ministry outside of what I get "paid" to do.
I've been a casual running for over 10 years and have done at least 1-2 small races a year. ActiveWater has now given me a chance to taken something I enjoy doing and pair it with touching lives with the love of Jesus. That's what ministry is really all about.
On November 14, I'll be running in the McDonald's Half-Marathon in Richmond, VA. For many people in the world, 13.1 miles is what it takes to get just 2 day's worth of clean water. Help them out by donating on this page.
