| Zach's Run is the charity event for Making Precious Strides, Inc. a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to raising awareness and finding a cure for MPS Type II, Hunter Sundrome. A life-threatening, genetic disease, Hunter Syndrome affects the body's ability to break down mucopolysaccarides and leads to serious complications.
Zachary Dearth was diagnosed with Hunter Syndrome in the summer of 2005. Since 2006, Making Precious Strides, Inc. has raised over $70,000 for medical research initiatives.
This year’s fourth annual Zach’s Run will return to Ocean City, NJ and host a 5K run, 1-mile family fun walk as well as children’s activities including the Tot Trot, games, face painting, and more. |
