Jimmie Heuga passed away on February 8th, 2010 in Boulder Colorado from complications due to Multiple Sclerosis. His life and focus on programs to help those with MS learn what they CANDO, has changed countless lives.

Jimmie will be with us in his never-ending spirit, so rally the teams and get ready for the best VEMS ever! Teams of 3 riders or skiers of all abilities will come together once again at Solitude Mountain Resort for Jimmie Heuga! Your fundraising of $334.00 per person, or $1000.00 per team of 3, includes your all day Lift Ticket, 3 meals, drinks and fun on the mountain! You'll also receive a Goody Bag,VEMS T-shirt and Solitude VEMS High Sierra Boot Bag!
We'll once again do our on mountain Scavenger Hunt/Poker Challenge and bonus on mountain games, Dual GS Race and Awards. Our Event begins at 8am with breakfast and Awards are at 3pm, with drinks and horsdouvers all provided by our gracious hosts at Solitude Mountain Resort.

Challenge the Mountain. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary Vertical Express for MS is a series of on-snow events to benefit Can Do Multiple Sclerosis - a national nonprofit organization and innovative provider of lifestyle empowerment programs that empower people with MS and their support partners to transform and improve their quality of life.
Challenge Yourself. Join a great group of enthusiastic skiers and riders for a fun-filled, memory-making weekend. The event is open to skiers, telemarkers and riders of all ages and abilities.
Event Rules: Entry fee/minimum donation is $1,000 ($334/person) per three-person team. Participants receive a free lift pass, goody bag and food. Additional prizes are based on dollars raised by participants. Raise $15,000 and earn a trip to Vail, Colo.

By addressing the physical, emotional, intellectual and social aspects of MS, our empowering programs teach people distinct tools and strategies that help them maximize their quality of life, and shift their focus from what they cannot do to what they can do.
