| The Union League Boys & Girls Clubs give youth a year-long membership to one of our three Chicago locations for just $5 a year. 91% of the youth served by the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs qualify for free or reduced lunch, meaning they are at or below poverty level. Since no youth is ever turned away from the ULBGC we offer all youth who cannot afford membership a scholarship. Each member of Team ULBGC sets a goal to cover the cost of one membership which cost $350, in 2010 the Union League Boys and Girls Clubs served over 11,168 youth. The mission of the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs is to promote the social moral, vocational, physical and educational development of boys and girls residing in Chicago. Union League Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun. Our members ages 6 - 18 are exposed to positive adult staff, mentors and role models and various programs which fall under our five core-program areas. Each youth receives a healthy meal before they go home for the night at the ULBGC. Our Clubs are open Monday - Friday after school. Youth often attend weekend activities such as national conferences, leadership initiatives and sports leagues on weekends. |
