We need your help to raise awareness and advocating for research for Hydrocephalus. Team Florida is holding its 3rd Annual Walk-a-Thon event followed by a friend-making picnic. Last year, our TEAM raised $8529.00! You can change the reality of living with Hydrocephalus. Dare to dream of a cure. Get out your walking shoes, your chair or bring along your dog and join in the fun.

If you are reading this page, you probably know someone who has Hydrocephalus!

Every dollar you raise will help the Hydrocephalus Association advocate for research and access to healthcare, educate patients and medical professionals, and support people with Hydrocephalus in living full, empowered and healthy lives.

More common than you might think.
- Affects hundreds of thousands of Americans
- Diagnosed in people of all ages, from infants to elders
- One in every 1,000 babies is born with Hydrocephalus
- The most common reason for brain surgery in children

Although it is treatable…
- There is no cure for this chronic condition
- The only known treatment is surgical
- It requires over 40,000 surgeries per year in the U.S. - One every fifteen minutes
- In adults, this reversible dementia and gait disorder often goes undiagnosed and untreated

There is still more to do.
- Even after treatment, many people face repeated surgeries and diminished quality of life
- Medical costs exceed $1 billion per year
