| Team Heal Trauma will run the 2008 Marine Corps Marathon and simultaneous Marine Corps Marathon 10k on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 8 AM. Marathon runners are limited to a team of 25, but the 10k is unlimited. The team also includes volunteers who will be making a difference by providing support before, during, and after the races.
Team Heal Trauma is a charity running team dedicated to drawing attention to the pervasiveness and impact of psychological trauma caused by violence, abuse, neglect, disaster, terrorism, and war. Join the team as a sponsor to demonstrate your commitment to addressing this important public health issue. Our work together helps promote healing and wellness for survivors.
Team Heal Trauma events benefit Witness Justice, a national nonprofit organization providing support and advocacy for survivors of violence and trauma. Funds raised by Team Heal Trauma will be used specifically for education and advocacy around psychological trauma.
All marathon runners must raise a minimum of $500 and all 10K runners must raise a minimum of $100 by October 8, 2008, or self pledge via check or credit card to participate.
