Welcome:
We are pleased to announce that Team Fight is heading to the skies. In a
historic all female air race founded in 1929, Amelia Earhart and other
pioneering women in aviation were the first of a group of women called the
99s to race across the country. This year the 81st annual race coincides
with a celebration of the 100th anniversary of women in aviation, and Team
Fight is joining the ranks!
This is an extraordinary race and we are honored to combine our passion
for the sky with this equally extraordinary cause - The Ulman Cancer Fund.
The Ulman Fund envisions a world in which all young adults affected by
cancer will have the access to resources necessary to thrive.
Susan's
inspiration comes from her mother-in-law, Flo Beall, who bravely fought
cancer for many, many years, while Nicole's inspiration comes from
both of her grandfathers who displayed incredible attitudes and a deep
appreciation for life until their last moments with cancer.
The race will start at Ft Myers, Florida and end in Frederick, Maryland on
Friday, June 25th. We are looking forward to this exciting race and will
be posting photos from pre-flight preparations all the way through to the
finish line. In the meantime, here is a photo of us relaxing in front of our plane in Oshkosh, Wisconsin – home of the world’s largest air show.
Please help us raise an abundance of money for this important fund. And,
know that a special lady, Florence Elizabeth Beall, a United States Marine veteran,
a wife,
a mother, a teacher and a friend, is smiling down at you over the wings of our
plane as we make our way across the sky.
