Finishing the Loon Mountain Race in NH.

Welcome to my fundraising page for the Center for Independent Futures (CIF)! I will run the Chicago Marathon on October 12, 2008 as part of Team CIF. CIF is an organization that works with people with disabilities so that they can lead independent lives. All donations made on this page will go to the CIF cause. You can check out their webpage at www.independentfutures.com. I have not run a marathon before and do not have a certain time goal, I would just like to finish. I have been entering various races in Chicago: the Northwestern Special Olympics 5K (April 20), Ravenswood Run 5K (April 27), Alternatives 8K (May 18), the Lincoln Park Run for the Zoo 10K (June 1), the Catch Your Breath 10K (July 20), and the PAWS 8K (September 28). In New Hampshire I ran the Loon Mountain 10-40% grade 10K (July 6). These races are preparing me for the big day and keep me on top of my training. I am NOT going to be like Barney in How I Met Your Mother (http://www.veoh.com/videos/v1327777ctHTsqb3) and try to run the race without being prepared. :-) Checks can be made payable to the Center for Independent Futures and sent to 743 Main Street Evanston, IL 60202.
