| Each year, more than 35,000 children and adults in the United States develop life-threatening diseases which could be cure by a bone marrow or stem-cell transplant. Although these diseases affect families from all racial, ethnic and economic backgrounds, people of color face the greatest challenge in finding matching donors for such transplants.
The Tamar Renee Bolt Memorial Fund Inc. is committed to educating people of all backgrounds with specific attention to people of color about the importance of the bone marrow and stem-cell donation process. By joining the Be The Match Registry the new name of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). We can all make a tremendous difference in the fight against many of these life-threatening diseases.
The Tamar Renee Bolt Memorial Fund Inc. is a non-profit organization, we promote awareness and host education and recruitment drives in hopes of making it easier for people to register as potential donors.
