| Girl Scouts is an organization developed especially for girls in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah, Georgia. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full potential so that they become happy and resourceful young women. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives -- like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
In our Troop, we have participated in so many great activities like horse back riding, sporting events, and camping, but most importantly we have been able to help people too. We made scraves for Urban Ministries, and blankets for the Linus Project and most recently have been writing letters to and visiting residents at Carolina Commons that may not get visitors or holiday gifts |
