| Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, Mark and I have decided to run the Marine Corps Marathon on October 26th. Clearly starting a new job, getting married, and moving weren’t enough to keep me busy, so we decided to throw in 18 weeks of training for a marathon as well!
We are both part of Team Hope For The Warriors and are asking for your support and generosity in this endeavor. The mission for Hope for the Warriors is to enhance the quality of lives of US Service Members and their families who have been adversely affected by injuries or death in the line of duty, to ensure the sacrifices made are not forgotten, nor the needs unmet. They utilize donations to support programs like the Warrior Hope & Morale Program, Warrior’s Wish, support groups and scholarships. Just recently, 15 Wounded Warriors were flown from Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas to spend 5 days in NYC taking part in various Fleet Week festivities such as activities with the FDNY, a baseball game and ceremonies. I am truly humbled and inspired by the people I will be running with and those who will be the beneficiaries of our donations, and I am so excited to be a part of this team. There are many great things about living in America. The many freedoms and liberties that we enjoy were established by and are protected through the actions of those who serve in our armed forces.
