Fellow believers in freedom!
October 26th i will be running the 2008 Marine Corps Marathon for the Charity organization Hope for the Warriors. It's a 26.2 mile extravaganza of Charity, exhaustion and positive karma. We all revel in the freedom bought by the sacrifices of our troops abroad and this organization exists to financially assist the families of the troops who pay the ultimate price for the luxury we live every day.
All of you who know me know that above all i am an athlete. one who joyfully participates in athletic endeavors of all kinds at any time. This is my first marathon, and after three months of training i can truly say that i feel like i'm giving something back, however small. I'm Hoping to raise $1000 for the Charity and even the smallest donation will help Hope for Warriors reach their goal. Also you will know that you've directly contributed to some exercise related malady that will inevitably befall me ( this, i know, is the real selling point...).
