Joining the Solutia TASK Force provides a real opportunity to make a difference in the lives of special kids! We are asking each TASK Force member to raise a minimum of $1,500 and in return TASK Force members will be provided with fundraising and physical training support that can be tailored for both the full and half marathons. Raised funds will be used to help build a sports and recreational facility for Team Activities for Special Kids, or TASK.

TASK was formed in 1996 to provide athletic and social opportunities for kids with a variety of special physical or mental concerns. This year alone, TASK will serve over 800 St. Louis-area athletes. Right now TASK's venues are a patchwork of rented sports facilities. These ever-changing locations make it especially tough for kids with conditions like autism, who struggle to adjust to unfamiliar surroundings.

As the title sponsor of the St. Louis Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half Marathon, Solutia has chosen TASK as its benefitting charity for the event. Team up with Solutia to help TASK build a permanent facility. By participating as a runner, donor or volunteer for the October race, you can help raise funds to build TASK a safe, familiar facility of its own.
