I ran Hospital Hill decked out in GOTR cowgirl gear!

I've been on the board for Girls on the Run for a couple years and am excited to be racing Rock the Parkway as an effort to raise some funds for this amazing cause. I hope you'll join in my efforts to get girls running! Your donations help the Johnson County KS Council reach out to girls in grades 3-8. This amazing program teaches self-esteem, nutrition, how to deal with bullies, healthy relationships, body image -- so many important concepts for girls! And it teaches everything through running! GOTRKC is growing and growing. We need to make sure the council's resources keep growing as well. With goals to reach more and more local girls, more money is needed to fund the program. That's why I'm running Rock the Parkway - to help GOTR continue to grow and reach all the girls in our community! Will you please make a donation and help too?

Girls on the Run is an innovative health education and wellness program that combines training for a 3.1 mile run/walk event with life-changing, self esteem enhancing lessons that encourage healthy habits and an active lifestyle for third through eighth grade girls. SoleMates is the adult charity running program of Girls on the Run. We are a team of female and male athletes who pursue individual goals, such as running a marathon, to raise money for Girls on the Run programs nationwide. Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
