| I have been training for the last 8 weeks for this incredible challenge. I went from getting tired walking up the stairs to running, biking and swimming. That was a lot for work for me. Please help me benefit the cause by taking the time to make a small donation. On the 21st I will swim 900 meters, bike over 20 miles and run for over six. All I need you to do is to take the time to donate a little bit to the cause. Thank you! |

The “TRI-TO-WIN…the fight against melanoma” triathlon fundraising directly benefits the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation. The Foundation, an all-volunteer, non-profit charity, is known nationally as "the voice for melanoma prevention, detection, care and cure." Triathletes, experienced and first-timers alike, join the community of patients, families, doctors, educators and concerned individuals to:
• support medical research that will ultimately lead to a cure for melanoma;
• seek opportunities to educate the general public on prevention and the seriousness of melanoma; and,
• provide resources for patients and the entire melanoma community.
Our collective efforts are important and all contributions are tax deductible to the Foundation, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, public charity - Federal Tax ID 55-0855653.

* Melanoma is the most serious and lethal form of skin cancer.
* The lifetime risk of developing melanoma is
1 in 39.
* Melanoma is the only cancer for which incidence and mortality are rising unabated, yet only receives 10% of the funding provided to other cancer research.
