Greetings and welcome to my official 2011 Tour des Trees fundraising page. This year’s “VA2DC” - Virginia Beach to Washington DC – tour starts with a one-day 30 mile Ride for Research in Virginia Beach on October 2. The route then rolls through Williamsburg, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Front Royal via Skyline Drive. Our final stop will be seven days and 500 miles later in Washington, D.C.

This marks my eighth consecutive Tour to help raise money for this worthy cause. Towns and cities along the route enjoy tree plantings and educational outreach by the Tour riders emphasizing the role research and education play in the health of our community trees.
