Welcome to the 2010 STIHL Tour des Trees to benefit the TREE Fund! From Millennium Park to the Morton Arboretum, the 2010 “Chicago Loop” Tour promises a week of cycling, scenery, tree plantings and fun in the company of the “Family TREE”. Urban trees around the world are besieged daily by bugs, disease, weather and all the hazards of life in an urban environment. They rely on environmentally aware citizens and trained tree-care professionals to survive and thrive. The money raised by the Tour des Trees underwrites development of best practices for urban tree care professionals as well as tree care education for our children, to help them become good stewards of the urban forests of their future.

Could this be one of our safety problems that could be identified in the interview process ? This would be an interesting research project? On an other matter and in terms of urban forestry it is my opinion that we use the words tree benifits to often as opposed to tree servives.Cities do not necessarily provide benifits for their citizens.They offer servives that eventually benefit citizens.The point is urban forest services must be in place before benifits are realized.
