Riding for a job and to benefit trees...

The Tour des Trees, now in it’s 17th year, is the signature fundraising event of the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund), and America’s largest fundraising event for tree research. This is a cause that I am incredibly passionate about. I have devoted my career to greening our communities and educating the public about tree care and environmental issues.

In addition to raising funds for this important cause, I also hope to find a job. The green field has been hit very hard by the state of the economy. I lost my job several months ago and have found myself unable to find a full-time position, even though I have the skills, education, knowledge, and experience to be very successful in a number of roles. I hope that participating in this event will help me to find a great opportunity in the urban forestry / horticulture field. I am ready to work hard to green our living spaces and educate communities and I am willing to relocate wherever I need to go.

Riding in the Tour des Trees has been a dream of mine and I've decided not to let anything stop me. I can't wait to ride.
