Racing to save lives...

The Syracuse Fire Department is proud to be involved in this years FDNY Tunnel to Towers Run on September 26th. The run follows the final steps of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller. On September 11th 2001, Stephen ran through the Brooklyn/Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers where he laid down his life for others. Our team is running to raise funds for the Clark Burn Center at University Hospital in Syracuse and for the The Stephen Siller, FDNY "Let Us Do Good" Children's Foundation. Any generosity is greatly appreciated. $10, $20...Whatever you can give. Our 2010 Team includes: Al Morgan, Jeff Dugan, Ted Ackerman, Mike Perotti, Matt Craner, Jeff Hess, Tim Barclay, Joe Santoferrara, Steve Ward, Brian Henderson and Don Lough

EVERY FAMILY TOUCHED INTIMATELY BY 9/11 HAS BEEN SHAPED FOREVER...EVERY FIREFIGHTER, EVERY CITY WORKER, EVERY NEW YORKER, EVERY AMERICAN AND EVERY WORLD CITIZEN NOW HAVE A DESTINY, A CHARGE TO RECLAIM THE SACRED GROUND, TO BRING HOPE TO FUTURE GENERATIONS...TO LET PEOPLE SEE, FEEL AND KNOW THAT THE HUMAN SPIRIT WILL TRIUMPH AND THAT THERE IS A COMMON THREAD OF LOVE THAT CONNECTS AND BINDS ALL HUMANITY.
