Recently completed a 3,113 mile bicycle ride across this wonderful country from Oceanside, CA to Ocean View, DE in the "Semper Fi Ride Across America" to help raise funds for Team Semper Fi and the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.
During the past year in Afghanistan MANY Marines have sustained life changing injuries and they need your help more than ever. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps America's true heroes recovering from catastrophic injury. No amount is too small or too large to donate and the IMSFF has VERY low admin and fundraising expenses (5%) than most charities so more money goes directly to support injured Marines and other service members who serve with Marines and their families - currently $50 million since its inception in 2004.
Team Semper Fi (TSF) was established in 2006 by the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund as an extension of the assistance that the Fund provides to those who are injured in combat and training. The idea for Team Semper Fi was inspired by those wounded Marines and Sailors who refused to let their challenges prevent them from competing in athletic events, and whose drive and determination is inspirational to us all.
Thank you for supporting this great cause! If you know of anybody else who might want to donate or sponsor I would be extremely grateful if you please forward this link on to them or add this link to your Facebook page. I have recently updated my fundraising goal to $17,750 x 2 in honor of the USMC founding in 1775. However, a true dream would be if I could raise $177,500 so please do not stop donating just because I have reached my primary goal. Semper Fidelis, Major Bill Conner, USMC
