• We have an unlimited number of spaces to join our team as a full or half marathon runner and many relay teams are now forming for runners and walkers. Please contact Ann Rairigh at SCG_MarathonTeam@yahoo.com for details and directions on how to register.
• Steel City Greyhounds (SCG) is a nonprofit corporation that has been established to promote adoption of retired racing greyhounds in the metropolitan Pittsburgh and surrounding western Pennsylvania regions. 100% of the proceeds raised from joining the SCG Marathon Team go directly to SCG adoption program. Donations cover the costs associated with greyhound medical expenses and other adoption program related costs. Our goal is to raise money to help retired racers find forever homes. Giving a retired racer a forever home can be a rewarding experience for everyone! Greyhounds begin their lives like no other breed, destined to be raised in the racing environment. They are very competitive athletes, yet gentle and sensitive by nature, making them perfect canine companions.
