The Ride for Semper Fi - supporting our injured Marine's

Riding for our heros

The Ride for Semper Fi is not about the ride or about the cyclists, it is about a group of cyclists that believe in an incredible organization and want to give something back. We are doing this by raising money for The Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund to support our injured troops.

The sacrifices our military men and women make for our country are heroic and selfless. Many of these brave men and women come back from battle severely injured. Their recovery is grueling, life changing, and financially and emotionally exhausting. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is an organization that provides financial and emotional support to injured soldiers, seamen and their families as they recover from injuries sustained during war. This organization relies solely on donations from people like you and me. Since it began, this organization has changed so many lives.

One of the main reasons that I am involved in this incredible cause is that my brother Hugh at 19 was an Infantryman in the Marine's in Vietnam. His unit was attacked and devastated, Hugh was airlifted out with life threatening injuries, he was shipped back to the US and started his recovery alone as financially we couldn't be by his side to help him. For over 30 years he dealt alone with PTSD, the first time he was ever thanked for his service was when he went to the VA hospital for support. This is my way of saying thank you to my brother.
