| The Ride for Semper Fi (www.therideforsemperfi.com) is a 430 mile bike ride between Phoenix and San Diego that will take place over 4 days in October. Over 40 riders, including myself, will be riding to raise money and awareness for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org). Our goal is to raise $177,500 and hand-deliver the check to the IMSFF upon our arrival in San Diego. Over the past 6 years the IMSFF has provided over $40 million in aid to wounded Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and their families. I’ve experienced first hand the benefits provided by organizations like the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. When both of my legs were shattered by an artillery round in Iraq in 2003 it was privately funded organizations like the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund that stepped in and provided what the government could not. The services provided by such organizations were vital to my physical, psychological, and occupational recovery. When I heard about The Ride for Semper Fi I knew it would be the perfect opportunity for me to give back to an organization that has given so much to me and my brothers. There is a steady stream of wounded Marines returning everyday. Each of them has needs that the military is unprepared or unable to meet. Please help me help these Marines by sponsoring my ride with a tax deductible donation. Thank you for visiting and please pass this along to any friends and family who may also be interested in helping. Semper Fi. |
