Racing to save Hawaii's precious reefs

Reef Check is the world's leading reef health monitoring & education organization. Reef Check began in Hawaii in 1996, - now our Hawaii team is bringing the focus back to Hawaii. Hawaii is home to over 85% of the coral reefs in the United States and it's reef health has declined since that first survey, including coral bleaching and silting. Education & monitoring can help bring our reefs back by helping our communities to protect and rehabilitate damaged reefs with ecologically sound and sustainable solutions. Reef Check Hawaii is dedicated to protecting our beautiful reefs and educating the public about the value of coral reefs and the crisis facing them.
