Racing For A Cure
Just finished running my first consecutive mile in about 3 years! June 15, 2013 - Only forward from here!
UPDATE: Running the Agoura Hills 10k, Saturday March 28th! This will be my first timed 10k road race!

Ran the North Face Endurance Challenge in San Francisco on December 6th with my Pub Run running crew! I ran a marathon relay with 3 other people. This was the longest and most intense run I've done so far! Onward and upward!

Ran the 5K at the Long Beach Marathon with the whole Racing For A Cure SoCal crew on October 12, 2014! My hip was flaring, so I was happy with my time of 34:00 flat.

Ran the Malibu Creek Challenge 6K Trail run on May 17th, 2014 with a time of 1:02:11! Best part? Someone switched the signs and I ended up running an 8k!!

2/15/2014 - Ran the 2014 Bandit Ultra Trail Run 6K in Simi Valley, CA with a time of 1:07:09!! Took 3rd place in my age group! That sucker was tough, but I did it! Mind over matter.

Update 12/3/2013: I've run two 5Ks now with a PR (personal record) of 34:38! I'm doing much more hiking now too, and have signed up to race in a couple trail races!

Update 8/14/2013! This past week I ran 2.25 consecutive miles! Closing in on that 5K! I'm now regularly swimming a mile too, so maybe Triathlons are on the horizon as well!

I am Racing For A Cure in support of the Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) and I am hoping you'll join me in supporting ANRF’s mission. Simply stated the mission is to find new treatments and/or a cure for arthritis and its related auto-immune diseases.

91 cents of ever dollar goes directly to arthritis research! Not many charities can say that! That figure alone motivates me to hit the pavement, and crank out some laps in the pool, even when Arthur tries his hardest to stop me! This is an ongoing fundraiser for the ANRF where I'll keep racing 5Ks or whatever suits me till we find a cure!

Arthritis is the number one disability in America with an estimated 50 million victims, including 300,000 children. That’s just over 20% of our population! Arthritis is a disease that affects all of our lives in one way or another. Whether it is you, a loved one or a friend, most of us know someone who is or has been afflicted with arthritis. Now is your chance to help make a difference, please join me!

Total Donations Collected:$1,220.00
Goal: $2,500
