The Radford University Black Alumni Chapter is an inclusive organization dedicated to the reestablishment and maintenance of the relationship between black alumni and the Radford University community. The RUBAC is a forum for black alumni to convene, communicate, and contribute to mutual professional development and the cultivation of black graduates, both present and future. We endeavor to support the University in its efforts to recruit, retain, and ensure the successful matriculation of black students in all academic fields; to foster and maintain positive relationships between black students and alumni; to support the Radford University Alumni Association in all of its efforts to promote long-lasting, positive relationships between alumni and the University.
The mission of the RUBAC is to serve as an instrument to promote positive relationships between the RU black student community, RU black alumni, and the University; to serve as a network of support to the RU black student community; to enrich and enlighten its membership, as well as to embrace the challenges and triumphs that we encounter “post-Radford.”
Please make a gift to the RUBAC scholarship fund. Your support will impact current RU students by assisting them in their financial needs as they work towards their education goals at our alma mater. All gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law.
The scholarship will be open to all current RU students with at least a second semester freshman classification and a 3.0 GPA. Priority consideration will be given to students who are members of clubs or organizations that historically have been made up by minorities. |
