When I lived in Texas, I did a fare amount of work with "The House" adjacent to Children's in Dallas. Really amazing stuff. All walks. There was a Dutch family of three, Mom, Dad and 14 year old son sailing arouond the world when pirates boarded their boat and their son was shot. Next thing you know, they are at The House while their son was at Children's. Then a famliy that despritely needed a helping friend; they spoke no English, had no family, no home, little to no money, and had a terminally ill little one. The countless volunteers that would come in and share some amazing talents; cabinet makers, poets, counsellors, friends, listeners, understanders, etc. Then the time I needed The House. And all those listeners, understanders, friends. It was all there. Thanks Chef. Run hard, kid. pbb "
