| Dear Friends: Next October 12th I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon. This is a great opportunity for me to do a race for a cause, as a woman I couldn’t find a better cause to represent than the “Y-Me Breast Cancer Organization”. Join me to fundraise for the millions of women who live with this Cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates, approximately 3 million women in the US are living with breast cancer; 2 million who have been diagnosed and an estimated 1 million who do not yet know they have the disease. It’s been suggest by researchers, that the Breast cancer is diagnosed at later stage in Latin-American born Hispanic woman, one of the many reason may be that “"It’s more about acculturation than ethnicity” according to a study published by the American Journal of Public Health. As a LATINA I encourage all of you to help me fundraise for the less fortunate Hispanic Woman immigrants.
