Because the women in our lives are worth it!

This is how I feel after a 6 mile run. Just wait until I get up to 26.2!

Hey there! Welcome to my fund raising page! I am running the marathon on the Pink Streak team this year to raise money for the amazing Breast Cancer Network of Strength (formerly known as Y-Me). As most of you know, this is a cause that has a very strong personal connection for me. My incredible mom, Val Gloyn, has faced Breast Cancer head on TWICE and was in remission for nearly five years before it resurfaced as metastatic bone cancer in February of this year. She is doing amazingly well on the chemo treatments (still able to run around after her 4 grandchildren...and if she were here in Chicago she'd be chasing her grand-cats) and we are all in awe of the strength and humor in which she carries herself on a day to day basis. Since she is the most positive person on the planet that I know who also happens to be a phenomenal mom, wife, daughter, gran-gran, friend, adorable British woman and all around amazing human being- I had to do something to give back to her and all of the women in my life who have been affected by breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Network of Strength provides support for all who are diagnosed and their loved ones in a variety of programs throughout the nation. So please, donate a little or a lot for whatever reason you choose. It may be for the cause, for my mom, or because I'm the idiot who decided to run another marathon after I said "never again".
