Paws In The Park - October 13th in Coolidge Park
Walking to save homeless pets' lives...

Thank you for visiting our Webpage

AT 9 A.M.

PAWS IN THE PARK is a fun-filled fundraising Dog Walk from Coolidge Park to the Aquarium and back, starting at 10 AM on Saturday, October 13th. Participants may bring their dogs or just walk to show their support for the Humane Educational Society’s Getting to Zero campaign to end euthanasia of treatable, adoptable and trainable shelter pets.

Come walk for the animals. Ask your friends to come too! You can also ask people to sponsor your walk! Our goal is $60,000! If 600 people collected $10 from 10 people, we could easily make it!! “Cat People” come too! Join in the fun. We care for two+ hundred cats daily! Walk unaccompanied and pin a picture of your kitty to your t-shirt! Pre-register now and let’s make all of Hamilton County a no kill zone.

ACTIVITES INCLUDE: Blessing of the dogs, live music by Lou Wamp & Swing Shift Band.

Don't forget vendor display booths, fun for kids, fire truck, awards, prizes, and the new "Doggy Idol Got Talent” contest hosted by Don Welch! Luther Masingil be a special guest and judge! Other contests include: best smile, fastest eater, best kisser, best dressed, most spirited (physically challenged), plus largest & smallest adult pooches! Back by popular demand is the Play Dog Excellent Agility Show and our finest Police Dog Demo!

Don’t miss this year’s “Rescued Dog Reunion” to recognize dogs rescued out of shelters and backyards in our community! Don’t forget: Rent-a-Shelter-Dog! Give a dog a day in the sun by calling 423-624-5302 x221 by October 9th with donation of $50 to reserve one of 20 lucky doggies!

Day of event registration begins at 9 a.m. Each $25 individual walker receives a set of goodies including a t-shirt, goody bag, and special bandana for their pooch. Each family (of up to 2 dogs & 2 adults plus children) receives two sets of goodies with registration!

PRE-REGISTER: Online registrants go to the front of the line by skipping registration this year with a super-speedy process! Just go directly to pick-up your goodies at the “pre-registered line” & bring a copy of your receipt (which will be emailed to you) and save one copy for your taxes! Registering online allows you to qualify for many super, awesome door prizes. Special line opens at 9:15 AM. Deadline for online pre-registration is noon on Thursday, October, 11th.

RAISE THE MOST PLEDGES: Individuals and teams will win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the most funds raised! ASK FRIENDS TO HELP: Ask friends to sponsor your walk with pledges. You can email with fun pictures of your pet (see below instructions). Friends may also register the day of the event under your name or your team at 9 AM. (Just make sure they have your name or your team’s name for you to qualify for most funds raised prizes!) You may also bring your hand-collected donations when you register, too!
