| Once again, as a member of the Lanakila Outrigger Canoe Club, I am proud to be part of the Ocean of Hope (O2H) team. Together, with other outrigger canoe paddlers and paddleboarders, we are training and racing to raise money for the Sarcoma Alliance, a nonprofit group that is a gathering place for those afflicted with sarcoma. This devastating cancer is difficult to diagnose and even harder to cure. People who suffer from the disease and their families have a place to find guidance, education and support, as well as to find current medical information and treatment options, and to network with others. The Sarcoma Alliance is an invaluable resource for those with the disease. I hope that my efforts to raise money through training and racing will bring help, hope, and some day a cure, to others who are affected by the disease. On September 12, my team will be racing from Newport Beach to Catalina Island. We are dedicating our race to the Sea of People Affected by Cancer. 100% of the money we raise will help cancer sufferers and survivors find hope, life and some day, a cure.
