The Oyebog Tennis Academy (OTA) is a truly selfless organization that promotes junior tennis in Africa, both as a sport and as a stepping stone for youngsters to win sports scholarships at colleges around the world.
I have just returned from visiting the OTA where I received the most incredible welcome from the entire community. Before flying to Cameroon I spent the previous 5 days climbing over 19,000ft to the summit of Kilimanjaro accompanied by my family.
Very many thanks to everyone who sponsored our mountain climb. The funds raised will pay for tennis courts to be built for the OTA in the main city of Douala which will provide structured after school activities for literally hundreds of children in the immediate area and be the future home of the very best junior players in the country. |
