Please join us in raising funds for breast cancer research. Funds raised for this event will go to the not-for-profit Northern Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, whose goal is to provide all 27 counties of Northern Indiana with information on prevention and treatment, outreach services to targeted populations, and funding for local breast cancer projects.
Seventy-five percent of the funds raised stay in Northern Indiana, with 25 percent going to the National Komen foundation for research. Local recipients of grants from this organization last year include Parkview & Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography Project—Rural Outreach-Parkview Hospital, Trae Una Amiga/Bring A Friend—Hispanic/Latino Coalition of Elkhart County, and Breast Diagnostic Services for Women Under the Age of 40-—United Health Services.
